BOUCHERCON

UNDERREPRESENTED VOICES RECEPTION

2023

Sign up to be featured in our third annual "Underrepresented Voices, Presented by Crime Writers of Color" reception at Bouchercon 2023 in San Diego!

Crime Writers of Color is thrilled to host the third annual "Underrepresented Voices, Presented by Crime Writers of Color" reception on Friday, September 1st from 7 – 8:30 pm local time at Bouchercon in San Diego. This free event will let Bouchercon attendees meet established and up-and-coming crime authors from traditionally marginalized communities.**

Instead of doing traditional readings, we'll be having a Game Night! The goal, as always, is to get as big a spotlight on marginalized voices as possible. So we'll also have free food and book giveaways.

We’re finalizing details but games might include you needing to find a line in your book to meet a prompt, True and False trivia about your characters, Genre Battles where say the cozy writers go up against thriller writers to craft a pitch.

If you are a crime writer from a traditionally underrepresented community** who is attending Bouchercon 2023 and would like to sign up to be spotlighted at the event, please complete our sign-up form by July 18, 2023. You can find the form here: https://forms.gle/Hoyac2A3dcVxeYS2A

Someone from Crime Writers of Color will email you with more details. Please note that there are limited spots for game contestants but we’ll be introducing everyone who signs up.

If you have questions, please email CrimeWritersofColor@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you in San Diego!
